In the middle of an election year, a supreme court justice dies. Antonin Scolia died in his sleep. He was 79. Obama will appoint another member on the supreme court. It will be interesting if a Democratic or Republic supreme court member will be appointed.

In a shameful display of partisan politics, Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell wasted no time politicizing the tragic death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia on Facebook, calling MSNBC at 6:20pm to inform television viewers, and releasing his statement and that the US Senate would filibuster any nominee proposed by President Obama to replace the only very recently deceased conservative judge on the highest court in the land. It’s a shocking turn of events because Republicans often spend their time criticizing Democrats for politicizing preventable gun violence and mass shootings. Now, one of the Republicans’ legends, their longest serving Supreme Court justice, appointed by Ronald Reagan himself has passed, and all they can do is drag his passing into a petty political circus on the eve of a Republican primary debate. Senator McConnell ended his Facebook post with this bombshell:“The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice. Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new President.”
In case Mr. McConnell missed the message, the American people did have a voice already in the selection of Supreme Court justices. The American people overwhelmingly voted twice for President Obama, himself a constitutional lawyer and law professor to represent all citizens in choosing qualified members of the US Supreme Court.

Carson peddles Stalin quote that snopes.com rated false
Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson recycled a debunked Joseph Stalin quote describing the "healthy body" of America in his GOP debate closing statement Saturday night.
"I, like you, am a member of we, the people, and we know that our country is headed off the cliffs," Carson said at the CBS News debate. "Joseph Stalin said if you want to bring America down, you have to undermine three things: our spiritual life, our patriotism, and our morality."
It was an impactful call out to Soviet Russia's threatening the fiber of American life, but the online hoax debunking site Snopes.com notes there's no evidence Stalin ever said the line.
The language praising America doesn't sound like something Stalin would have said, the site said, and it hasn't found any verifiable source for the quote after searching collections of Stain's writings, interviews, and speeches.Short answer : no Long answer : NOOOOOOOOOOO!

I think I dislike Rubio even more than Trump and Cruz at least they stick to their stories. Rubio is a pathalogical liar, like Hillary.

Jones: The question is, was Antonin Scalia murdered? And the answer to that is, has the Bill of Rights and Constitution been murdered? Has it been reported that members of the Supreme Court have been blackmailed? Yes it has.

Rubio ad mistakes Vancouver for US city
A new campaign advert for US presidential candidate Marco Rubio is promising a return to "morning in America," but the ad has the sun rising over the Canadian city of Vancouver.The city's skyline shows prominently in the ad, which recalls Ronald Reagan's successful 1984 campaign slogan.
In its opening moments, a tugboat bearing the Canadian flag passes through Vancouver's harbour.
The Rubio campaign has told BuzzFeed that the use of the clip was a mistake.
Guy Chavasse shot the original video footage of Vancouver last year.
"It's pretty funny, isn't it?" the Vancouver-based videographer told the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). "It's a good-looking video, no doubt, but it's pretty recognisable as Vancouver,"
This isn't the first time a candidate's advert has had trouble with American imagery.
In September, a group supporting former Florida Governor Jeb Bush released a campaign ad using stock images from the UK and parts of south-east Asia as stand-ins for US locales.
