Why is Blind Guardian so good? ›

Brilliant vocals, great choruses, distinct and unique sense of melody both on guitar and vocals. Something I really love about them is that vocals, guitars, and drums all have very prominent and distinct parts. In many bands I feel like one instrument will often dominate and the band becomes boring.

The musical style of Blind guardian has been described as power metal, symphonic metal, progressive metal, speed metal, heavy metal, thrash metal, and neoclassical metal. Blind Guardian's first two albums, Battalions of Fear and Follow the Blind, were more in the style of speed metal than their following works.

Inspired by the Fates Warning album, Awaken The Guardian, band members decided to change their name to BLIND GUARDIAN and soon acquired new rhythm guitarist Marcus Siepen.
