OneMain’s inclusive culture reaches beyond the workplace to connect with the communities where we live and work, including our LGBTQ+ friends and neighbors. For the second year, we sponsored Evansville’s Pride Festival in partnership with River City Pride. Over 100 OneMain volunteers welcomed people to our booth, passed out swag, marched in the parade, set up and broke down the main stage, and took tickets. Together, we are committed to advancing equality nationwide with a focus on families, workplaces and schools. #TeamOneMain #PrideMonth

This Straight for Equality learning session focused on allyship, as team members discussed strategies to express support for colleagues and foster a welcoming environment.When our team members feel supported, they are able to bring their best selves to work. OneMain was one of more than 100 Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy National Partners invited to attend Financial Literacy Day on Capitol Hill and raise awareness about the importance of financial education. The coalition is made up of companies and organizations from finance, business, academia, government and beyond who work together to advance #FinancialEducation and build secure futures. Like OneMain, many of these partners have launched individual financial education programs. Students at Newark Charter School in Delaware will be able to practice and develop video production skills, thanks to a donation from OneMain. #TeamOneMain volunteers delivered cameras, monitors, tripods and more, and shared ideas with students around how to use this technology. Focusing on youth and education is another way we give back to the communities where we live and work.

Spotting and reporting fraud and inaccuracies on a credit report is a top way to protect your credit score — a life skill high school students nationwide learn in our free Build: Credit Fundamentals course. In fact, Credit Worthy by OneMain almost doubled students’ ability to react quickly when they saw evidence of identity theft and credit card fraud. We tracked 17,000 students who took Build and saw that they also dramatically improved financial know-how in every area, regardless of socioeconomic background. To close out #MilitaryAppreciationMonth, OneMain Head of Branch Operations Brad Borchers and Associate Director of Analytics, Anthony Giunipero led an event to recognize and celebrate OneMain team members who are active and retired military. After sharing perspectives and personal stories, Wounded Warrior Project spokesperson Cindy Parsons joined us to share her experience with the organization and how they supported her family when her son Shane was severely wounded by an IED while deployed in Iraq.Honoring veterans is one of the many ways #TeamOneMain creates a culture of appreciation and diversity at work.
