Whipped hot chocolate is the latest viral TikTok recipe I absolutely love. If frozen hot chocolate and dalgona coffee had a baby, this delicious treat would be it! Kids of all ages (and adults) will love it!

Whipped hot chocolate is a viral TikTok recipe where you whip heavy cream with powdered cocoa mix.

Then you serve it on top of warm chocolate milk and enjoy the deliciousness.

Whipped Hot Chocolate Versus Dalgona Coffee

Dalgona coffee is definitely the precursor to this whipped hot chocolate with its creamy silky texture.

However, while dalgona coffee looks like it would be rich and chocolatey, it’s not.

It’s very coffee flavored and not a treat to share with kids.

This, on the other hand, is just as decadent and chocolatey as it looks!

Ingredients

To make this you’ll need:

• Powdered hot chocolate mix– For a smooth, silky texture, don’t use the kind with marshmallows.
• Heavy cream– Don’t substitute for a lower fat dairy product.
• Chocolate milk– Either store bought or make your own with chocolate syrup and milk.
• Garnish– Mini marshmallows and shaved chocolate

How to Make

To make this creamy treat, start by whipping the hot chocolate powder and cream in a small mixing bowl with a hand mixer until the volume has doubled and the fluffy whip has formed stiff peaks.

Set it aside.

Pour the chocolate milk into two microwave safe mugs or glasses.

Microwave the hot chocolate for 1-2 minutes, depending on the power of your microwave and how hot you want your chocolate milk.

Divide the whipped hot chocolate evenly between the two mugs, spooning it right over top of the warm milk.

Garnish, as desired, and serve.
